International Creative Director, DDB Europe on the Direct Category

Winner: DDB Brasil “Sprinter Receipt”

All the nominations were truly original and used sideways thinking to powerful effect. DDB Brazil grabbed the glory with three nominations and the winning entry, Mercedes “Sprinter Receipt” – a surprising and inventive selling idea, blending technology and a good old product demonstration in a simple shop till receipt.

Winners: DDB Singapore “MySmartEye,” Alma DDB Miami “The Glad Tent”

This proved to be a strong category, with an embarrassment of riches. In the end we couldn’t separate our favourites and so there were two winners. I defy anyone not to be moved by the wonderful use of technology in “MySmartEye” project and “The Glad Tent” was a brilliant piece of intellectual, rather than technical innovation.

VP, Creative, DDB Brasil on the Design Category

Winner: DDB New York “The Great Tower of Faile”

It became clear that DDB is making excellent pieces of design across the range of possibilities for this category. To judge this award was inspiring. The highlight was the New York City Ballet – The Great Tower of Faile – a stunning idea, execution and results – proving that design is a tool of immense power. The Great Tower of Faile is a piece of art unto itself.

Mobile Winners:  DDB Sydney “Track My Macca’s,“ DDB Philippines “TXTBKS” 

Winners in these categories engage and touch people in a very real way. I especially liked how our digital winner shared little bits and pieces through social media that together paint a big picture. Executed to perfection, our mobile winners use technology to innovate and inspire.

Winner: DDB Singapore “MySmartEye”

In the Promo and Activation category we had a number of ideas that had a positive influence on society and at the same time, did an exceptional job of actively engaging consumers with the brand.
