The DDB Worldwide network is off to a fantastic start at the Cannes Lions Festival this year. To date, we have been honored with 76 Lions from 26 offices representing every region in our network. An additional 172 pieces from 34 offices were recognized on the Shortlist. And we’ve been recognized in every category at the Festival so far.
Highlights to date include the Mobile Grand Prix awarded to DDB DM9JaymeSyfu in the Philippines for their ingenious “TXTBKS” idea for Smart Communications. DDB Group New Zealand and adam&eveDDB London each brought home a prestigious Creative Effectiveness Lion. DDB Group Singapore’s “Mobile App for the Visually Impaired” for Starhub Mobile received two Gold Lions in Direct, a Silver Lion in Mobile and a Bronze in Promotion & Activation. DDB Sydney’s transformation of McDonald’s into Maccas for Australia Day also received multiple honors across categories, claiming three Lions in Promotion & Activation and Media. Another big winner for McDonald’s came out of Tribal Toronto for their “Our Food. Your Questions.” idea, that has been honored with four Lions across categories. And we showed strength in the more traditional categories of Press, Outdoor and Radio as well.
